Who We Are

Troy Chemical Industries was founded in 1971 by Dave Imhof and 5 additional investors with extensive backgrounds in chemical specialty manufacturing, marketing, quality control and technical service.
Today the company is headed by Lee Imhof, under whose leadership Troy has continued to grow while managing to maintain the culture and stability that has earned Troy its reputation. In fact, the average length of service of Troy employees is over 15 years. Maybe more importantly, we have customers who have been with us for over 30 years!
From the beginning Troy serviced the industrial, metal pretreatment, institutional and private- label/toll blending markets. Over the years we expanded into market segments in food processing and pulp and paper.
Today Troy is poised for growth, having achieved record sales in 2010, a year of economic turmoil, and having built a sound customer base in its key markets. Such customer loyalty is not an accident. At Troy selling chemicals is not the goal but rather a means to an end—namely, service and solutions. Our focus is on helping our customers manage and improve their processes in an increasingly competitive world.
