Ted Bunton

Ted graduated with from Southeast Missouri State University with a Mass Communications degree in addition to playing college baseball for the Indians. He has been able to apply many of the lessons he experienced in college athletics to the business world and is still grateful for that opportunity. Ted began his professional career in June of 1992 with Troy Chemical. He has been focused on the Metal Pretreatment area and is dedicated to supporting customers on their cleaning processes prior to liquid or powder coating. Ted enjoys working with people on improving their process and helping them achieve their quality goals.

Married to Beth Bunton for over 28 years, they work hand in hand with running Troy Chemical. “She runs the financial side of the business as I enjoy dealing with the sales side of things. It’s been a good formula for us and we’re looking forward to growing Troy Chemical.”  

In his free time Ted enjoys spending time with family, golfing, traveling and watching sports, especially his St. Louis Blues. Enjoying a backyard fire with his family is always on his to do list.

Ryan Yount

Ryan came to Troy Chemical in 2018. He has over 15 years in the chemical industry after graduating from Lake Erie College. Being with a larger company before and not feeling a part of a team, Ryan thrives with his role as Technical Director. He is always willing to do what is needed and has a tremendous work ethic. Having the analytical mind helps Ryan tremendously when it comes to problem solving. A very logical and receptive individual, he is always up for finding the solution. His willingness to hear other opinions and lead by example is excellent.  

“Ryan’s perspective in certain situations is unique,” said Beth Bunton. “He doesn’t convey what you want to hear and that is exactly what we strive for here at Troy Chemical. Ryan is a committed team member, and we hope to have him on board for many years.”

Ryan enjoys his family, traveling and his Cincinnati Bengals.

Robin Gruber

Robin began with Troy Chemical when Dave and Joyce Imhof ran the company. She loves working at Troy Chemical as she says all of her co-workers are awesome. A native of the area, Robin married her high school sweetheart and they have been married for 31 years. Along with spending time with her two adult kids, she enjoys reading, baking, camping, dinner with friends and chocolate! The employees are aware when she brings in something that she baked…delicious!

Robin’s friendly voice is who you’ll most likely hear when you call into Troy Chemical. She loves talking to Troy customers and making them feel special.

Leslie DiRenzo

A 15-year veteran at Troy Chemical, Leslie says she is 1 of the 3 All-Stars in the Order Department and she has been known to ‘hit home runs’ with customers! Leslie earned her BA at Ohio Wesleyan in Psychology and French Education. She also was an exchange student in Paris back in 1991. She is always up for learning new things & making processes more efficient. “We are all treated like family at Troy Chemical and I’m proud to be a team member.”

Leslie enjoys reading, being outdoors and loves music! (she thinks she was a DJ in a former life!) She also loves every moment with her children, grandchild and two dogs.

Shelly Pressell 

A Troy team member for 23+ years, Shelly brings a plethora of experience and know how to the company. Her knowledge of the order process as well as other office functions is second to none. Married 21 years, she enjoys her two kids and is very active in her church with Sunday school and Youth groups. Her hobbies include scrapbooking, crafting, photography and camping. Shelly was the recipient of the 2011 Dave Imhof Memorial President’s Award, and was the runner-up for the Geauga County Fair Queen in 1995.

Shelly enjoys the family friendly environment at Troy Chemical along with interacting with the other employees. The flexible schedule is something she appreciates, and she says at Troy Chemical…“never a dull moment!”

Beth Bunton

Beth graduated with an Economics degree from Creighton University and went on the pass her Series 7 & 63 Licenses. As a detail-oriented person, she loves when processes reach their maximum efficiency. Over her career Beth has had a number of responsibilities which included working for Not for Profit Agencies, volunteering with charity organizations and served as an ISO Internal Auditor. She was part of the founding of Bunton Industrial Solutions in 2014 and is now part owner of Troy Chemical.

“There is a significant amount of potential in our industry. As a family-owned company, we feel we bring a lot of the values to our customers that they’re looking for in vendors and can’t find with the larger corporations. We want our customers to know who we are – not just the reps but our plant team members too.”

In her time away from work Beth loves traveling to new places and meeting new people. An outdoor hike or bike ride is something she enjoys along with antiquing. As a devoted mother, she balances her family responsibilities quite well. Beth has completed 3 half marathons.

Andy McCombs

Andy has been with Troy Chemical for over 27 years. He is an excellent team player and is extremely organized. He started out as a compounder and his responsibilities have grown over the years. As the plant manager for many years he is aware of virtually everything that goes on in the facility. Andy’s attention to detail is second to none and his recall is beyond belief. According to Ted Bunton, “Andy bleeds Troy blue. He is always looking out for what is best for Troy Chemical. A true asset to our team.” 

Andy enjoys being around his wife Lori (a Troy employee), grandkids, treasure hunting and working around the house. 

Lab Staff

Justin Schlereth

Justin came on board towards the end of 2020 and has met the challenges of a quick moving company. He works very well with the other lab personnel and continues to learn every day. In his free time, he has built his own computer and enjoys playing video games on it. Justin also enjoys watching football and soccer when he can.  

Donnie Glueck

An extremely knowledgeable professional in our industry, Donnie Glueck joined the Troy Chemical team in 2018. His experience in the Powder Coating industry is priceless and his willingness to help people is what sets Donnie apart. The 30+ years of running Pretreatment Chemical lines and managing several powder coating systems has provided our team with such an incredible resource for our customers. Donnie was a part of the installation process of multiple paint systems from their inception. His experience of handling permits, contractors and vendors brings a perspective that very few people can provide on this side of the desk. As Beth Bunton states, “Donnie Joe is such a tremendous asset to us. He is reliable, ambitious and is always willing to help other reps or customers out. We’re lucky to have him on board.”

Donnie is a Six Sigma Green Belt and is Pretreatment Certified. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his family and two grandsons. He is always up for golf, fishing or hunting. Donnie was a past President of the Jackson, Missouri Jaycee’s. He is also a Pittsburgh Steelers as well as a St. Louis Cardinals fan.

Jim Henningsen

Jim has been with Troy Chemical for over 27 years. As the Branch Manager in the Minnesota area, Jim has done a remarkable job with maintaining customers along with growing the territory as well. He has been able to bring on talent to expand Troy Chemical’s coverage in the upper Midwest with the addition of Gary Hess and Bob Hodgson. During 2020 & 2021 when most territories were maintaining business, Jim and his group grew their business, and they are still going in the right direction. 

In his spare time Jim enjoys golfing, fishing and road trips. Jim describes Troy Chemical as: Responsive, Service Oriented and Relationship Building. He is well received with his colleagues in Ohio as well customers. A little-known fact about Jim when he was 18 years old, he hitch-hiked across the country & back! When asked if he had $10,000 to donate to a charity, he would choose the Tunnels to Towers Foundation.  That organization provide support for the families who were involved with the 9/11 tragedy. Thanks for what you do Jim!

Sean Fowler

Sean came to Troy Chemical in 2021. He has a manufacturing background and incorporates purchasing into his many roles with the team. Sean is always open to helping anywhere he is needed and has learned the business quickly. In fact, he recently started in sales and helping customers with their Metal Pretreatment needs. A true team player.

Sean is a football nut as he is a huge supporter of the Ohio State Buckeyes along with his Cleveland Browns. Golfing is where you can find him when his football teams are not playing.
