Garret Doggett brings a practical, results-oriented mindset to his role as a Process Application
Specialist for Troy Chemical, grounded in one clear priority: helping customers succeed through
cost savings, process improvement, and trust.
Garret earns strong relationships through consistent presence, honesty, and measurable results, rather than simply selling them. Garret’s approach begins with understanding. He takes time to learn each customer’s operation through process audits, line observations, and open conversations with plant teams. By
leveraging his hands-on experience and technical background, he identifies opportunities to
improve throughput, reduce costs, and solve persistent issues. “You can’t fix what you don’t
understand,” Garret explains. “Audits help uncover where the real opportunities are.”
That mindset has paid off in the field. In one case, a customer struggling with adhesion issues
saw improved performance and throughput after Garret helped transition them to a better-suited
cleaner and optimized the process. The result was not only stronger adhesion, but also
meaningful cost savings and improved line efficiency.
Trust is central to how Garret works. Known as a “straight shooter,” he values honesty and
realism, even when the message is difficult to deliver. “Customers respect you when you’re
there to help—not just to sell,” he says. That philosophy extends beyond the initial engagement.
Garret maintains close relationships through frequent on-site visits, adjusting his level of support
to each customer’s needs, no matter the shift.
Garret is also acutely aware of the broader challenges facing manufacturers today. Rising costs,
corporate consolidation, and reduced on-site technical support have left many plants in need of
more hands-on guidance. He sees Troy Chemical’s family-owned, agile business model as a
key differentiator—one that allows the company to stay responsive, maintain shorter lead times,
and keep technical experts in front of customers.
What keeps Garret motivated is simple: helping customers be successful. Drawn to Troy
Chemical’s people-first culture after time spent in larger corporate environments, he values the
freedom to focus on service, relationships, and results. “I love being out in plants, talking with
customers, and solving problems,” he says. “When they win, we win.”
